Chicken Rice

Yesterday my colleague brought me for lunch at a shop behind Hock Lee Building.  According to her, that is one of the famous shop serving nice chicken rice.  The photos show the chicken rice for two.

What is the special of the chicken rice until everyone is willing to queue up to wait for seat and wait patiently for the chicken or char siew to be served?  I can say is the sambal make it special and also kuah curry.  Tht chicken rice shop serve sambal chilli and sambal belacan blended from cili padi.  The rice is nice too.  I can have the rice without chicken or char siew.

This was my breakfast a day after the 10th Sarawak State Election nomination day.  I have this at coffee shop on the way I went to work every morning.  I like the taste and its really cheers my day up.

Kuching's Kampua Sibu's Taste

I am doing the 3 months attachment in Kuching and the 3 months attachment is lapse early this month but I am still stuck here.  I miss my hometown every much.  I was moving here and there for the pass 3 years, I started miss home cook, hometown food etc. That is why whenever I start to miss hometown food, I start to search for the food having similar aroma and taste like my hometown food.  During 3 months times in Kuching, I found a stall behind Public Bank Pending Branch offering nice kampua which is to my taste. Today I went there for my breakfast again… the taste is nice and I ordered kampua pok with bian shik together with one hot Milo as the starter of the day.
